John Fitzgerald is the owner-operator of Fitzgerald letterpress, a small specialty print shop in New Orleans. John has been printing for pleasure, business and artistic expression since childhood. He left a career in commercial offset printing when digital graphics came to dominate the printing trades and much of the beauty and craft was lost. John took a step back in time to re-create the old and irreplaceable ways of fine printing.
In addition to custom letterpress printing, (ideal for wedding invitations, stationary and birth announcements) John creates fine art prints combining linoleum cuts and hand-set type.
